Pauls Jelfs Biography
Paul is a father of two, based in the UK, who has been composing for the last 4 years. Born in the southwest of England, Paul spent much of his career as both a music tutor and business owner, running a series of private music schools, before deciding to focus his attention on composing full time. His composition “Back to where it began” has taken the grand prize in the “All Genre” category in the 2nd annual International Able Artist Foundation Composing Competition. Paul also holds a first-class Honours Degree in Business studies from the University of Stirling. Paul became interested in composing at the age of 14, and is a self-taught pianist, whose primary focus is creating realistic midi mock-ups in different genres for various media. He has recently been awarded a place in Thinkspace Education’s Professional Media Composition Master’s degree program and looks forward to studying as well as turning his attention to video game composition. Furthermore, Paul is keen to promote discussion around the difficulties faced by musicians and composers living with a long-term disability.
