AAF Instrument Grant Program

Able Artist Foundation supports disabled musicians through our discount program, contests, and a grant program designed to provide physical instruments and gear to support their career goals.

Multiple times a year, AAF will review applications to award $500-$1,000 grants to disabled musicians/composers for the specific purpose of procuring much-needed gear/instruments that the grantee will use to further their career goals of working/performing in the music/live music/film/tv/advertising/gaming industries. This grant is intended for disabled individuals who are low income, but the applicant does not need to be receiving SSI/SSDI benefits to qualify for this grant.

Applicants, please provide the following information:

  1. Provide a bio highlighting your musical activities and achievements in music.
  2. Provide basic info: name, age, address, email, socials, and if you are/not an AAF member.
  3. Two published videos (i.e. YouTube, Vimeo) or two published audio files (i.e. SoundCloud, Spotify) demonstrating your musicianship/creativity.
  4. What are your career goals and how will this AAF Instrument Grant assist you in getting there?

This grant is for physical/mechanical instruments/gear only (no software).

If you are awarded this grant, AAF will purchase the instrument on your behalf and provide it to you.
